The Bobcat Way

Trophies are great. But what we're really building is discipline, confidence, character, and classroom habits that last long after the final whistle. Here's how we develop young athletes — on the field and off it.

Four Pillars

What Every Bobcat Learns

🏈

Skill

Fundamentals-first coaching in football and cheer, built up rep by rep at every age level.

📚

Scholarship

Grades come first — report cards are part of registration, and student always comes before athlete.

🛡️

Character

Discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship — our Code of Conduct applies to athletes, coaches, and parents alike.

🤝

Community

We Not Me. Teammates become family — Bobcats learn to lead, lift each other up, and represent North Port with pride.

We Not Me
The Bobcat Mindset

We Not Me.

You'll see it on our coaches' shirts and hear it in every huddle. Nobody blocks alone, nobody stunts alone, nobody wins alone — every Bobcat learns that the team comes first, on the scoreboard and in life. And when the Bobcats take the field together? Fear the Claw.

On the Field

Fundamentals First. Safety Always.

From a 5-year-old's first flag pull to a 14U playoff run, every rep is age-appropriate and coached by trained, screened adults.

  • Age & size-appropriate divisions — 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U tackle (6U plays flag), so kids compete against kids like them.
  • Technique before contact — blocking, tackling, stunting, and tumbling taught progressively.
  • Level 2 screened coaches — background checks and fingerprinting for every coach, no exceptions.
  • Concussion & heat-safety certified staff — trained for Florida conditions with smart hydration and monitoring protocols.
  • Every skill level welcome — never played? Never cheered? Our coaches will prepare them for the field.

Off the Field

Student Before Athlete

The habits that win games are the same ones that win in school and in life. We hold Bobcats to a higher standard everywhere.

  • Academics are part of the deal — every athlete submits a report card at registration, and we celebrate classroom wins like touchdowns.
  • Show-up skills — being on time, prepared, and coachable three practices a week builds real-world discipline.
  • Leadership reps — captains, cheer leaders, and older Bobcats mentoring younger ones.
  • Handling wins and losses — celebrating with class, losing with grit, and coming back Monday either way.
